My Experiences, My Thoughts, My Advice on Healthy Relationships

Hey there, lovely readers! Today, I want to share with you a deeply personal topic that’s been on my mind lately: healthy relationships. As a wedding photographer, I’ve witnessed countless couples embark on their journey together, and it’s inspired me to reflect on my own experiences, thoughts, and advice when it comes to cultivating healthy relationships.

Recognizing Red Flags: A Crucial Step

One of the key lessons I’ve learned on my journey is the importance of identifying whether a relationship is healthy from the very beginning. Unfortunately, my own experiences with mental and verbal abuse, both in past relationships and during my childhood, made it challenging for me to recognize red flags early on. As a result, I found myself making decisions that drastically altered the course of my life.

Sharing My Story for Connection and Support

The photo above is me at 19 years old. I talk a lot about my life when I was 19 in this podcast episode and look at this picture now and realize how young and naive I was. This definitely an exciting time in my life, but I also remember the severe depression I was in that led to horrible habits with lack of eating and being unhealthy in general. I share my experiences not only to provide insight into my journey but also to offer support to others who may be going through similar struggles. It’s essential to realize that you’re not alone and that there are countless resources available to help you navigate the complexities of relationships, whether it’s through therapy, support groups, or educational resources.

Galentines Event: Inspiring Change and Growth

One event that has deeply inspired me is the upcoming Galentines event on February 6, 2024, where I’ll be photographing alongside some incredible speakers like Mary Crafts and Dr. Julie Hanks. This event aims to empower women of all ages and phases of life to learn, grow, and connect with one another. It’s a testament to the power of community and the importance of supporting each other on our journey towards healthier relationships. I strongly urge any woman at any phase/age in their life to get tickets to this event! Click here to purchase your tickets!

Conclusion: A Call to Action

As I reflect on my experiences and share my thoughts on healthy relationships, I’m reminded of the profound impact that open dialogue and support can have on our lives. By shining a light on the importance of healthy relationships and providing resources for support and growth, we can work towards reducing the prevalence of unhealthy relationships and divorces. Together, let’s create a world where love, respect, and mutual support thrive.

Join me on this journey towards healthier relationships, and let’s empower each other to live our best lives. Together, we can make a difference.

With love and gratitude,
